Ambassador Silvano Pedrollo met with H.E. Isabel Brilhante Pedrosa, Ambassador of the European Commission to the Republic of Cuba. Amb. Brilhante graciously received Amb. Pedrollo in her office after the initial greetings. During their conversation, Amb. Brilhante reviewed the current relations between the European Union and Cuba, highlighting the signing of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement in 2016 and other relevant topics. Additionally, she mentioned ongoing macro-projects, including one on Sustainable Agriculture.

Ambassador Pedrollo showed interest in this project and expressed his belief in the potential of sustainable agriculture to improve the food and energy situation in Cuba. Amb. Brilhante detailed the objectives of the HAB.AMA project, which aims to increase local production of healthy food and diversify agricultural productions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Brilhante expressed her full support for any humanitarian initiatives proposed by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and expressed her hope for the success of such projects. Amb. Pedrollo thanked his colleague for the meeting and wished her success in her diplomatic mission in Cuba.
