The new ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, H.E. Silvano Pedrollo, was received in the Hall of Mirrors of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the distinguished Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Elio Rodríguez Perdomo, for the presentation of the Style Copies of the Credentials. During the protocol, Vice Minister Rodríguez Perdomo courteously received the style copy of the Credentials from Amb. Pedrollo. Subsequently, a colloquium was held where various topics of bilateral and global interest were addressed. Amb. Pedrollo was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Olimpia Pizzolo.

The Vice Minister highlighted the complex situation facing Cuba, especially exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and expressed the desire for support for the Cuban people, especially the most vulnerable. In response, Amb. Pedrollo reaffirmed his commitment to providing concrete assistance and proposed the intervention of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta for the shipment of food, medicines, and other essential supplies.

The meeting, which exceeded the scheduled time, reflected the mutual commitment to work for the benefit of those in need and to promote human dignity. It was agreed to stay informed about the progress and future developments in these important humanitarian and diplomatic matters.
